Important note: In signing an enrolment form and applying for a course programme through Management International, all students are expected to have understood and agreed to the following terms and conditions. Please note that these are the terms and conditions for Management International alone and in some cases may be superseded, for instance by an employer where the student is undertaking a work placement. 1. Provision of servicesManagement International undertakes to provide the services as set out in the specification provided in the school publicity or at the time of booking the course, or in the case of customised courses as described in the contract, subject to Clauses 2. Code of conductManagement International or its partners reserve the right to withdraw confirmation of enrolment and expel a student for unsatisfactory work, attendance, or misconduct during period of programme. No refund of fees is payable should a student be expelled or programme terminated. 3. Payment of courses feesAll course fees must be received by MI at least 4 weeks before commencement of course, or they reserve the right to cancel the course and request relevant cancellation fee. 4. Cancellation of FeesOnce confirmation has been issued – if a student cancels - With more than 2 weeks notice 50% cancellation fee payable - Less than 2 weeks notice 100% of fees payable 5. Refund of FeesIn the event of illness of the student prior to course commencement date, a refund of fees will only be considered on production of a valid medical certificate. In such circumstances, notification should be made by registered post and the date thereof being the agreed cancellation date applicable.
Once a course has commenced, no refund is payable should a student leave a programme early for whatever reason, including medical reasons 6. Host family accommodation Host family accommodation is arranged as outlined in course programme and detailed on Confirmation of Enrolment/fee account. MI or its partner college act solely as an agent in the arrangement of aforementioned accommodation, ensuring that the relevant charges are regularly paid. Once the accommodation has been taken up by the student, the student enters into an agreement with the homestay or accommodation provider and not with MI. Any complaints regarding the arranged host family accommodation should be dealt with between the student and the accommodation owner. 7. Accomodation inked to work experienceAccommodation for students on work experience will be arranged by the placement provider (to be notified). The rates and details for the accommodation linked to work experience will be notified to the student at least four weeks before the start of the work placement. Arrangements vary between sectors and placements and some students may have ‘live-in’ accommodation. MI can accept no responsibility for such variations. 8. LiabilityMI accepts no responsibility for the failure to provide services due to a third party intervention or action. 9. Force MajeureIt is a condition precedent to the enrolment that MI and their partners will not be liable, in any respect should it become necessary to cancel a course, or withdraw a service as a result of acts of God, industrial disputes or other such causes beyond the control of MI 10. Travel InsuranceAll students are recommended to take out a comprehensive travel insurance to cover all risks prior to departure. MI and their agents will not be liable for loss, damage or injury to persons or property however caused, save where such liability is expressly beyond exclusion by state. No refund of school fees is payable should a student have to curtail their course for any reason, including personal and/or medical reasons. 11. Legal InterpretationThese terms and conditions, and the interpretation of these conditions will be made according to the Laws of England. Work based programmes only Minimum levels of English Management International and their partners reserve the right to withdraw a placement offer should the student not attain the required minimum level of English for course booked. Dismissal from work placementShould a student be dismissed from their placement for any reason, other than misconduct:
Should a student be dismissed from their job for misconduct, MI or their partners reserve the right to dismiss student from school without refund of course fees or offer of alternative course. Disputes in the work place Disputes and/or queries regarding work placement should first be addressed by the provider bfore referral to MI. Management International itself cannot provide any assistance other than advice. Arbitration In the case of unresolved disputes in the workplace, MI would refer any claim to its partners and to the relevant programme manager. The placement provider may act as arbitrator in the event of a dispute, subject to the receipt of a written report from the student explaining the circumstances and the nature of the problem. However, the placement provider or the college cannot be held responsible for any dispute in work placement. Airport Transfer and Travel We will collect from any of the three London airports, Heathrow, Gatwick and Stanstead for £50 one way subject to advance booking. Executive services are available on request. For collection from other UK airports (excluding Belfast and Scotland) please contact the office on info@managementinternational.co.uk Travel to and from homestay is at the student’s expense. Travel from the homestay or the place of study to a hotel placement will be the responsibility of the placement provider unless otherwise stated. |
